Honda debuted their “Urban SUV Concept” at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The concept SUV is shorter than the Honda CR-V but larger than the Honda Fit. This completely different vehicle fills the space between the two. “We believe there is a good market potential for this vehicle,” said the president and chief operating officer of Honda’s North American Regional Operations.
Honda’s new compact crossover is part of the industry trend towards small cars with better fuel-efficiency. It is reported that the Urban concept crossover will use Earth Dreams Technology for increase fuel-efficiency. The interior was not displayed but Honda said it will have the latest modern telematics technology. The layout is said to have the same MagicSeat as the Honda Fit, which is easily configured for different passenger and cargo options.
Honda is planning on launching the vehicle in the United States in 2014. Visit Shadyside Honda to test similar vehicles like the subcompact car, the Honda Fit, or the similar Honda CR-V.
